Medical Order Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely, the part-time Medical Order Specialist will review and process changes to existing patient orders, validate prescription accuracy, and ensure timely shipment of medical supplies while maintaining HIPAA-compliant documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process changes to existing patient orders
• Validate prescription accuracy and verify insurance coverage
• Communicate with patients and internal teams to resolve order issues

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare administrative, order processing, or insurance experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Home health, DME, or enteral experience preferred
• Knowledge of insurance authorization is a plus
