Medical Order Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely, the Medical Order Specialist will review and process changes to existing patient orders, validate prescriptions, and ensure timely shipment of medical supplies in a detail-driven, full-time role.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process changes to existing patient orders for accuracy and compliance
• Validate prescription accuracy and verify insurance coverage while submitting authorizations
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and communicate with patients and internal teams to resolve order issues

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare administrative, order processing, or insurance experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in home health, DME, or enteral services preferred
• Knowledge of insurance authorization processes is a plus
