Medical Order Specialist

Job Summary

Reviewing and processing changes to existing patient orders, the remote Medical Order Specialist will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely shipment of medical supplies while validating prescriptions and insurance coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process changes to existing patient orders for accuracy and compliance
• Validate prescription accuracy and manage insurance authorization submissions
• Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant documentation and communicate with patients and internal teams to resolve order issues

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare administrative, order processing, or insurance experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in home health, DME, or enteral services preferred
• Knowledge of insurance authorization processes is a plus
