Medical Order Specialist

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and organized, the remote Medical Order Specialist will review and process changes to existing patient orders, validate prescriptions, verify insurance coverage, and maintain accurate documentation while working independently in a full-time capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process changes to existing patient orders to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Validate prescription accuracy and determine the need for updated documentation
• Verify insurance coverage and manage authorization submissions and follow-ups

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of healthcare administrative, order processing, or insurance experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in home health, DME, or enteral services preferred
• Knowledge of insurance authorization processes is a plus
