Medical Record Indexer

Job Summary

Supporting the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center, the full-time Medical Record Indexer will index medical and administrative records remotely within the Oracle Cerner Electronic Health Record system while ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Index medical and administrative documents into Oracle Cerner
• Verify document quality, accuracy, and legibility
• Link records to the correct patient file using Financial Identification Numbers (FINs)

Required qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of medical records, HIM, document management, or healthcare administrative experience
• Experience working within an electronic health record system
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Oracle Cerner experience preferred
