Medical Records Abstractor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Records Abstractor to perform timely abstraction of medical record charts and verify data for accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Cross check patient demographics for accurate identification
• Search computerized medical records for relevant patient histories and documentation
• Ensure correct data entry and track chart and time completion accurately

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in clinical data abstraction or 3+ years' experience as a healthcare professional
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred
• High school diploma and/or GED certificate required
• Preference for candidates with an advanced clinical degree and clinical setting experience
