Job Summary

To support healthcare data accuracy, the full-time Medical Records Abstractor will efficiently abstract medical record charts, verify data completeness, and ensure accurate patient identification while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Cross-check patient demographics for accurate identification
• Search computerized medical records for relevant patient histories and documentation
• Perform accurate data entry and track chart completion times

Required qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in clinical data abstraction and coding, or 3+ years as a healthcare professional
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic, Athena, Cerner) preferred
• High school diploma or GED certificate required
• Ability to work independently and in a team within a home office environment
