Medical Records Abstractor Lead

Job Summary

Overseeing daily operations of the Abstraction Team, the full-time remote Medical Records Abstractor Lead will ensure quality reviews, execute efficient abstraction of medical record charts, and support team members in achieving optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure support for all team operations in meeting service level obligations
• Track completion of assigned work and compile reports for operational delivery
• Train and mentor team members while providing recommendations for process improvements

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in clinical data abstraction or a related healthcare role
• Prior experience in a Team Lead, mentorship, or Quality Analyst role
• Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic, Athena)
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a home office environment
