Job Summary

Processing release of information requests in a timely manner, the full-time remote ROI Medical Records Specialist will ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations while providing excellent customer service and safeguarding patient privacy.

Key responsibilities

• Complete and process release of information requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures
• Validate requests and authorizations for medical information release according to established protocols
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and maintaining confidentiality throughout the process

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to type at least 50 words per minute
• Proven customer satisfaction skills and ability to multi-task effectively
