Medical Records Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure timely and accurate processing of medical information requests, the full-time remote ROI Medical Records Specialist will manage the release of information, safeguard patient privacy, and provide exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Completes and processes release of information requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Performs quality checks on all work to maintain confidentiality and proper invoicing
• Provides excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns proactively

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) required
• A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred
• Strong computer software experience, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to type at least 50 words per minute
• Proven customer satisfaction skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
