Medical Records Specialist

Job Summary

To support accurate patient documentation, the full-time remote Medical Records Specialist will manage insurance correspondence, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and safeguard patient privacy while delivering high-quality medical records.

Key responsibilities:

• Timely produce and deliver medical records in response to third-party payer requests and communicate with franchise partners regarding missing documentation
• Process all release of information requests efficiently, ensuring accuracy and high-quality customer service
• Validate requests and authorizations for releasing medical information in accordance with established procedures

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent with additional specialized training
• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare experience (preferred)
• Proven knowledge and skill in utilizing the MS Office suite and pharmacy applications
• Advanced data entry skills
• Understanding of medical terminology and clinical documentation
