Medical School Admissions Advisor

Job Summary

Supporting a cohort of medical school applicants, the part-time MD Mentor will conduct one-on-one advising sessions, collaborate with Admissions Coaches on application strategies, and provide interview preparation, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Admissions Coaches to set individualized application milestones for students
• Conduct one-on-one advising sessions via Zoom to provide tailored support for medical school applicants
• Manage a cohort of at least five medical school applicants throughout the application cycle

Required qualifications

• Graduated from a top-ranked undergraduate institution
• Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a U.S. medical school
• In-depth knowledge of the U.S. medical school admissions process, including AMCAS/AACOMAS systems
• Former medical school admissions experience or significant experience in pre-med advising is strongly preferred
• Availability during after-school hours and weekends to accommodate students in various time zones
