Medical Stop Loss VP

Job Summary

A company is looking for a VP of Medical Stop Loss to provide oversight and direction to their managing general underwriter (MGU) for medical stop loss.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior management to drive profitability, retention, and written premium goals for medical stop loss business
• Provide guidance on strategy, business objectives, product revisions, and underwriting guidelines
• Establish guidelines and procedures with the MGU to ensure profitability and develop new products as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred
• Prior medical stop loss underwriting experience with an MGU or insurance carrier
• Strong understanding of the medical stop loss market and trends
• Prior experience with predictive analytics in underwriting and/or claims is preferred
• Prior experience with level-funded programs is preferred
