Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Transcriptionist I.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribes referral laboratory results into the laboratory information system (LIS)
• Performs quality assurance on all entered reports prior to verification
• Handles phone communications with referral laboratories and provides clerical support

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• One year of data entry experience
• Intermediate level computer proficiency
• Preferred graduation from a formal medical transcription course
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology
