Medical Transcriptionist
Job Summary
Offering an on-call remote opportunity, the Medical Transcriptionist I will be responsible for transcribing specialty dictation from medical staff, editing reports, and performing various clerical duties as required.
Key responsibilities
- Transcribe gross descriptions and clinical information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
- Edit reports based on Pathologist instructions and provide urgent results to clients
- Maintain consultation logs and assist in training new staff members as needed
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 0-3 years of transcription experience preferred
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Strong data entry skills
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds occasionally
