Job Summary

Supporting high-visibility federal health communications initiatives, the part-time Medical Writer/Editor will develop, edit, and maintain evidence-based health content for public and professional audiences while translating complex scientific information into clear, accessible formats.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, write, edit, and update health-related content for web and print formats
• Translate complex medical and scientific information into plain language
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure content accuracy and alignment with federal guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's preferred)
• At least 3 years of experience writing and editing medical or scientific content
• Strong understanding of plain language and health literacy principles
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
