Medical Writing Associate Director

Job Summary

Providing expert writing and editing support, the remote, salaried Associate Director, Medical Writing - Publications will manage the production of high-quality documents for publication in medical/scientific journals and oversee project management of therapeutic area publications.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely production of abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and other publication materials
• Engage with internal and external authors to develop publication plans and strategies
• Manage projects through the publication review system and provide oversight for outsourced medical writers

Required qualifications

• A PhD, MD, or PharmD with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's with at least 8 years of experience
• Research experience in academia or the pharmaceutical industry is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and organize clinical and scientific data
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required
• Knowledge in therapeutic areas such as immunology, neuroscience, and/or oncology is preferred
