Medical Writing Associate Director

Job Summary

Providing expert writing and editing support, the remote, full-time Associate Director, Medical Writing - Publications will ensure the timely production of high-quality documents for publication in medical/scientific journals and presentations at meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and review data and source documents for publication needs while developing publication plans and strategies
• Engage with internal and external authors and stakeholders to oversee the publication review system and project management
• Direct and edit outsourced medical writers for selected therapeutic area publications

Required qualifications

• A PhD, MD, or PharmD with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/scientific field
• Research experience in academia or the pharmaceutical industry, including the compilation of research reports or publications
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and organize clinical and scientific data
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge across therapeutic areas such as immunology, neuroscience, and/or oncology is preferred
