Medicare B Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support billing operations, the full-time Medicare B Billing Specialist will manage research, billing, collections, and resolution of assigned accounts while working remotely across the continental USA.

Key responsibilities

• Investigates Medicare B eligibility, including diagnosis, place of service, and medication for payment
• Prepares assignment of benefits and obtains necessary signatures from responsible parties
• Transmits electronic claims to Medicare B and prepares claims for secondary payers when applicable

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree desired
• Two years of billing and/or collections experience; Medicare B preferred
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field
• Certified Pharmacy Technician is desired
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
