Medicare Billing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Specialist, Medicare.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate Medicare claims, ensuring compliance with guidelines and resolving any billing discrepancies
• Review patient accounts, reconcile payments, and communicate with patients regarding their Medicare coverage and billing inquiries
• Investigate denied or underpaid claims, prepare appeals, and monitor aging reports for timely resolution of overdue accounts

Required Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Medicare billing codes, guidelines, and regulations
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
• Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Experience in analyzing claim data and troubleshooting billing errors
