Medicare Claims Specialist

Job Summary

Resolving aged and denied Medicare claims, the full-time Medicare Claims Specialist will work remotely from Monday to Friday, utilizing the Medicare DDE system and various Part B websites to manage accounts for multiple hospital or physician groups.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve cash-generating accounts to expedite revenue collection for clients
• Review and post adjustments for Medicare claims using facility systems
• Work on denials and appeals in a timely manner while maintaining accurate account notes

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred
• 1-2 years of experience handling traditional Medicare claims
• 1-2 years of experience with the DDE Direct Data Entry system
• Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute
• Familiarity with Health Information Systems such as Epic or Cerner is beneficial
