Medicare Specialist

Job Summary

Resolving aged and denied medical claims, the full-time Medicare Specialist will manage Medicare accounts for multiple hospital or physician groups remotely, utilizing the Medicare DDE system and various Part B websites.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve cash-generating accounts to expedite revenue collection for clients
• Review Medicare claims to determine status and post necessary adjustments
• Work on denials and appeals in a timely manner while maintaining production criteria

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred
• 1-2 years of experience working with traditional Medicare claims
• 1-2 years of experience using the DDE Direct Data Entry system
• Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute
• Familiarity with Health Information Systems such as Epic or Cerner is beneficial
