Medicare Specialist
Job Summary
Resolving aged and outstanding medical claims, the full-time Medicare Specialist will work remotely from Monday to Friday, utilizing the Medicare DDE system and various Part B websites to manage accounts for multiple hospital or physician groups.
Key responsibilities
- Resolve cash-generating accounts promptly to enhance revenue for clients and the company
- Review Medicare claims to determine status and post adjustments on various facility systems
- Work on denials and appeals in a timely manner while maintaining production criteria and a low error ratio
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred
- 1-2 years of experience working with traditional Medicare claims
- 1-2 years of experience in the DDE Direct Data Entry system
- Ability to type 50 words per minute
- Experience with Health Information Systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Cerner is beneficial
