Medication Access Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medication Access Specialist to assist patients with access to benefits and financial assistance for specialty medications.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the pharmacy, insurance providers, and patients to communicate financial assistance options
• Review and document patient information to identify barriers and eligibility for prescription assistance
• Facilitate access to prescription medications by addressing formulary issues, copay concerns, and eligibility for assistance programs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree in Health Science, Business, or related field preferred
• One year of experience in healthcare, business, finance, or insurance preferred
• CPhT certification preferred
• Participation in compliance program objectives is required
• Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
