Medication Access Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medication Access Specialist to assist patients with access to benefits and financial assistance for specialty medications.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the pharmacy, insurance providers, and patients to communicate financial assistance options
• Obtain and document patient information to identify barriers and eligibility for prescription assistance
• Facilitate access to prescription medications by reviewing coverage options and educating stakeholders on next steps

Required Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree in Health Science, Business, or a related field preferred
• One year of experience in a healthcare, business, finance, or insurance-related field is preferred
• CPhT certification preferred
• Commitment to compliance program objectives
• Ability to interact cooperatively and respectfully with colleagues
