Medication Line Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting patient care remotely, the full-time Medication Line Specialist will manage medication inquiries, assist with prescription refills, and coordinate follow-up appointments while ensuring compassionate and patient-centered support.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for patients regarding medication inquiries and triage calls with empathy and urgency
• Support clinicians in managing medication therapies, including reconciliation and adherence support
• Facilitate prior authorizations and collaborate with clinicians, pharmacies, and insurers to address barriers to medication access

Required qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), EMT-B, or Pharmacy Technician; behavioral health experience preferred
• 1+ year of experience managing prescription refill requests
• Working knowledge of pharmacology, medication therapies, and insurance authorization processes
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare software; prior authorization system experience preferred
• Familiarity with SBAR documentation and communication standards
