Job Summary
Providing support for member engagement and retention, the full-time Member Engagement Specialist will manage member inquiries, assist with appeals and grievances, and advocate for members' rights while working in a healthcare setting.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct telephonic assistance to members, resolving issues and complaints to enhance member engagement
- Educate members on their rights, benefits, and covered services, including preventive care
- Collaborate with the care management team to identify trends in member issues and implement solutions
Required qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in member services, community engagement, or customer service in a healthcare setting
- Basic understanding of managed healthcare systems and behavioral health issues
- Effective interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and applicable software programs
