Job Summary
To support a growing behavioral healthcare organization, the remote Member Financial Services Analyst will manage member communications, educate on benefits, and advocate for financial options while ensuring streamlined revenue cycle operations.
Key responsibilities
- Own and manage the member-facing phone line and email, providing compassionate support
- Review and educate members on Verifications of Benefits (VOBs) to facilitate access to care
- Coordinate insurance, billing, and continuity-of-care cases across departments, escalating complex situations as needed
Required qualifications
- 2-3+ years of experience in insurance benefits, billing procedures, and prior authorization processes, preferably in SMI/behavioral health
- Experience using commercial insurance payer portals; Medicare and Medicaid experience highly preferred
- Strong communication skills to translate complex issues into clear action steps
- High emotional intelligence and service orientation, with the ability to build trust quickly
- Familiarity with CRM systems and EMR platforms, along with organizational skills to manage multi-step processes
