Member Financial Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team dedicated to member access, the full-time Member Financial Specialist will work remotely to assist members with questions regarding eligibility, benefits, and payment options while ensuring a clear understanding of their financial standing.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with members to address questions on eligibility, benefits, and payment plans before and during treatment
• Educate members on benefits and financial assistance options while completing ongoing eligibility checks and resolving complex insurance issues
• Communicate with members and insurance companies via video and phone to facilitate smooth financial processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• At least two years of direct member-facing experience in patient access or financial counseling, preferably in a SUD/Behavioral Health setting
• Experience working with state Medicaid portals and navigating payer organizations
• Familiarity with commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans related to behavioral health/SUD coverage
• Proficiency in operating electronic medical records and other necessary technology in a remote environment
