Member Financial Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Member Financial Specialist will work remotely to assist members with questions regarding eligibility, benefits, and payment options while ensuring a clear understanding of their financial standing.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with members to address inquiries on eligibility, benefits, and payment plans
• Educate members about their financial responsibilities and available financial assistance
• Complete eligibility checks and resolve complex insurance issues, collaborating with payers as necessary

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• At least two years of direct member-facing experience in patient access or financial counseling, preferably in a SUD/Behavioral Health setting
• Experience working with state Medicaid portals and navigating payer organizations
• Familiarity with commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans related to behavioral health/SUD coverage
• Proficient in operating electronic medical records and other required technology in a remote environment
