Job Summary

To support a remote call center, the part-time hourly Member Services Representative will handle incoming customer calls, process claims inquiries, and issue authorizations while providing excellent service to members and providers.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide timely and accurate information to incoming customer calls, including issuing authorizations and handling claims inquiries
  • Process customer claims according to established department policies and check voicemail boxes for requests related to I.D. cards and authorizations
  • Fulfill rapid call volume by managing a high number of daily calls and providing feedback regarding customer service issues
Required qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate's degree highly preferred
  • 2+ years of customer service or call center experience preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in the healthcare industry or insurance environment preferred
  • Business-related college courses preferred
  • Associates degree in lieu of experience will be considered
