Job Summary
Providing telephonic health coaching, the part-time Mental Health Counselor will specialize in mental health risk factors while also addressing various health issues, utilizing participant-centered methodologies to enhance lifestyle behaviors and health outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver telephonic health coaching based on participants' health risk appraisals and stages of change, focusing on mental health issues such as depression and anxiety
- Utilize Motivational Interviewing techniques to facilitate behavioral change and assist participants in setting and achieving health goals
- Integrate clinical and psychosocial information for case identification and develop individualized action plans for participants
Required qualifications
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the mental health field providing clinical services
- Independent licensure (LMHC, LCSW) preferred but not required
- Ability to work nontraditional hours to accommodate coaching across multiple time zones
- Must achieve and maintain a nationally recognized certification within 12 months of full-time employment if not already certified
