Mental Health Specialist II

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mental Health Specialist II (Per Diem) to provide support for the 988 Lifeline Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Interacts with clients in a therapeutic manner and ensures effective handling of service requests
• Assesses service requests and clients' conditions to provide appropriate referrals or dispositions
• Documents assessments, interventions, and interactions with clients in accordance with established policies

Required Qualifications

• Four years of full-time paid experience in a relevant mental health or human service field, or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Ability to handle phone requests under time and decision-making pressure
• Experience with crisis intervention
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 20 lbs
• Familiarity with documentation and assessment procedures in a mental health context
