Merchandise Planner

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and analytical, the full-time Merchandise Planner will manage inventory, optimize product mix, and drive profitability across High Profile Cannabis Shop retail locations, working remotely within Hartford, CT, Chicago, IL, or Philadelphia, PA.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain fresh inventory by tracking aging and expiring SKUs, executing markdown strategies, and coordinating replenishment with the state Buyer
• Tailor assortments by store class based on sales trends and local preferences while ensuring accuracy of assortment architectures
• Analyze data to provide actionable insights supporting company KPIs and present monthly sales recaps to Executive and cross-functional teams

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of merchandise planning, inventory management, or retail analytics experience, preferably in cannabis or specialty retail
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and inventory planning tools (e.g., ERP, POS, demand planning software)
• Experience using Power BI preferred
• Experience working in a regulated industry or knowledge of cannabis compliance is a plus
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check
