Merchant KYB Analyst
Job Summary
To support a growing fintech startup, the remote Merchant KYB Analyst will conduct comprehensive Know Your Business (KYB) reviews, validate merchant information, and identify financial crime and fraud risks while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end KYB reviews for prospective merchants, ensuring compliance and accuracy of onboarding documentation
- Perform investigations into business registration documents, ownership structures, and potential regulatory concerns using various intelligence sources
- Prepare case documentation and escalate complex findings to relevant teams for further review and action
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in KYB, KYC, AML, or payments compliance within a fintech or regulated financial services environment
- Strong investigative skills with experience using corporate registries and open-source intelligence
- Ability to review and analyze various document types while identifying inconsistencies and potential risks
- Understanding of merchant risk and common fraud typologies in digital commerce
- Experience with KYB platforms and risk intelligence tools is a plus
