Merchant Risk Analyst

Job Summary

Working full-time Tuesday through Saturday, the Associate Merchant Risk Analyst will actively analyze merchant applications, investigate high-risk account activity, and communicate across teams to refine the merchant approval process in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate risk scores and policies for merchant applications to ensure compliance and minimize fraud
• Investigate high-risk merchant activities and provide recommendations for process improvements
• Utilize MySQL to analyze merchant information and performance metrics while collaborating with various teams

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 1 year of experience in risk management or fraud prevention operations
• Proficiency in MySQL and PostgreSQL for data analysis
• Experience with large language model tools, such as Claude, to enhance productivity
• Demonstrated ability to make impactful decisions in a fast-paced environment
