Metrics Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) Office of Performance Analysis, the full-time Metrics Analyst will review and develop metrics related to the National Airspace System (NAS), work with large aviation data sets, and create documentation and dashboards to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Review and develop metrics for the operation and modernization of the NAS
• Implement error checking and data quality assessments on large aviation data sets
• Prepare presentations and written reports for FAA leadership and industry groups

Required qualifications

• BA degree with 4 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in SQL or PL/SQL and experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases
• Experience with Microsoft analytical software such as Excel or Access
• Familiarity with data visualization software like Tableau
• Experience in programming languages such as R or Python
