Job Summary

A company is looking for an Oncology Data Specialist Certified to manage cancer patient databases and ensure accurate data entry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Abstract cancer-related data according to established policies and procedures
• Assign codes for treatments, procedures, and diagnoses using appropriate classification systems
• Perform data entry utilizing specialized software

Required Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in a health-related field or equivalent work experience of at least two years with a strong emphasis on data integrity and analysis
• Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) within two (2) years of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR)
• 1 year of CTR abstraction experience in a CoC Accredited Cancer Program
• Bachelor's degree in health information management or a related field
