Job Summary

A company is looking for a Chief Medical Officer, Health Plan (MI).

Key Responsibilities

• Provides executive strategy and leadership for medical affairs, focusing on quality improvement and utilization management
• Leads analysis of medical care cost and utilization data to address and correct utilization issues
• Oversees medical management staff to achieve performance metrics and optimizes utilization of medical resources

Required Qualifications

• At least 12 years of relevant health care leadership experience, including 2 years as a medical director in managed care
• At least 7 years of health care management/leadership experience
• Active and unrestricted MD or DO license
• Board certification
• Working knowledge of applicable laws and regulatory requirements affecting medical staff
