Job Summary
Seeking a part-time Michigan Licensed Civil Litigation Attorney, the role will manage a caseload of litigation matters, develop legal strategies, and prepare cases for trial while working remotely, but candidates must reside in Michigan for court appearances and depositions.
Key responsibilities:
- Handling a caseload of litigation matters and preparing cases for trial
- Conducting discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery documents
- Representing clients in court, attending hearings, and participating in settlement negotiations
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably in commercial litigation and/or landlord/tenant matters
- Licensed to practice and in good standing in Michigan
- J.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
- Proven ability to handle cases independently
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
