Job Summary

Handling contents desk losses and claims, the full-time Michigan Licensed Desk Adjuster will examine insurance policies, evaluate contents inventories, and negotiate settlements while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Examine insurance policies to determine coverage and apply limitations or exclusions on claims
• Interview insured individuals to gather claim information and finalize inventory reports
• Prepare findings and negotiate settlements with insured parties

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Appropriate state adjuster license is required
• One year of claims handling experience or equivalent education and experience
• Preferred background in accounting and insurance
• Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies
