Michigan Licensed Fire Safety Inspector

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Fire Safety Inspector 9-11 (CRA).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of medical and adult use cannabis facilities to ensure compliance with fire safety codes and regulations
• Assist the Bureau of Fire Services with inspections of other state-regulated facilities and businesses as needed
• Work primarily with the Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) on fire safety matters

Required Qualifications and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three years of experience as a firefighter, law enforcement officer, or corrections officer for Fire Safety Inspector 9
• Two years of experience equivalent to a Fire Safety Inspector 9 for Fire Safety Inspector E10
• Three years of experience equivalent to a Fire Safety Inspector, including one year equivalent to a Fire Safety Inspector E10 for Fire Safety Inspector 11
• Possession of a valid driver's license and Michigan Fire Inspector certification or NFPA Certified Fire Inspector I credentials
