Job Summary

Providing compassionate counseling and psychoeducation, the full-time Michigan Licensed Grief Counselor will support patients, families, and community members through grief processes while developing individualized care plans and collaborating on grief-related programming.

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver developmentally appropriate counseling and psychoeducation in grief, loss, and bereavement
  • Develop and implement individualized bereavement care plans through various session formats
  • Collaborate with departments and community partners to provide grief-related programming and educational materials
Required qualifications
  • Master's degree in counseling or a related field with training in grief, loss, and bereavement
  • Minimum of 2 years of counseling and bereavement experience
  • Eligibility or certification in Thanatology (CT/FT) preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems
  • Strong passion for compassionate care aligned with organizational values
