Job Summary
Providing compassionate counseling and psychoeducation, the full-time Michigan Licensed Grief Counselor will support patients, families, and community members through grief processes while developing individualized care plans and collaborating on grief-related programming.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver developmentally appropriate counseling and psychoeducation in grief, loss, and bereavement
- Develop and implement individualized bereavement care plans through various session formats
- Collaborate with departments and community partners to provide grief-related programming and educational materials
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in counseling or a related field with training in grief, loss, and bereavement
- Minimum of 2 years of counseling and bereavement experience
- Eligibility or certification in Thanatology (CT/FT) preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems
- Strong passion for compassionate care aligned with organizational values
