Job Summary

As the primary point of contact for patients and their families regarding insurance coverage, the full-time Michigan Licensed Insurance Verifier will obtain and verify patient insurance information, manage pre-authorizations, and ensure accurate data entry in a remote role based in Michigan.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain and document pre-authorization for scheduled patients and communicate guidelines for emergent patients to Utilization Management
• Verify all required patient and insurance information, entering it accurately into the registration system
• Follow up on verification issues in a timely manner and communicate findings to relevant departments

Required qualifications

• 2 Year / Associate Degree or equivalent experience
• 1.5 years of related experience in healthcare
• Must reside in Michigan
