Job Summary
Reviewing medical bills and documentation, the full-time Michigan Licensed Medical Review Specialist will utilize clinical expertise to assess treatment necessity and appropriateness for Michigan Workers' Compensation claims while working remotely in the EST time zone.
Key responsibilities
- Reviews medical bills according to guidelines and policies
- Determines the relationship of treatment to covered injuries and advises on reimbursement recommendations
- Provides customer service to adjusters, providers, and claimants regarding bill reviews
Required qualifications
- Certified Professional Coder certification required
- 1+ years of medical coding experience (CPT, ICD-10) preferred
- 1+ years of experience in Medical Bill Repricing preferred
- Michigan Workers' Compensation experience preferred
