Job Summary
Overseeing payroll processing and benefits administration, the full-time Michigan Licensed Payroll Administrator will ensure compliance with laws and regulations while enhancing the team member experience in a fully remote role, requiring occasional in-office attendance for special events and team meetings.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the complete payroll process, including audits, tax management, and financial reporting
- Develop and implement benefit strategies while serving as the main point of contact for benefits-related inquiries
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, leading initiatives for audits and regulatory reporting
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related experience
- 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience focused on payroll, benefits, and compliance
- Experience processing multi-state payroll
- Deep understanding of payroll, benefits, and employment laws
- Proficiency with payroll systems, preferably Paylocity
