Job Summary

Seeking a Michigan Licensed PM&R Physician Reviewer, this fully remote, independent contractor position offers flexible scheduling and focuses on conducting comprehensive medical record reviews to provide evidence-based opinions on cases related to musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation services.

Key responsibilities

• Review medical records and supporting documentation to assess medical necessity and appropriateness of care
• Conduct evidence-based clinical assessments and prepare clear, comprehensive written reports
• Participate in peer-to-peer discussions and answer client-specific questions regarding diagnoses and treatment plans

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Board Certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
• Current, unrestricted Michigan medical license
• Minimum of 5 years of post-residency clinical experience in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
• Experience evaluating musculoskeletal, rehabilitation, and functional impairment cases preferred
