Job Summary
To provide comprehensive psychiatric care, the contract Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) will conduct evaluations, manage medications, and deliver ongoing support to the Medicaid population in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans for clients
- Manage medication prescriptions and monitor patient progress
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care for patients
Required qualifications
- Active, unrestricted PMHNP license in Michigan
- National board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Prescriptive authority and active DEA registration
- Experience in providing psychiatric evaluations and prescribing psychotropic medications
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
