Michigan Licensed Referral Coordinator

Job Summary

To support healthcare operations, the PRN Michigan Licensed Referral Coordinator will manage patient referrals, handle prior authorizations, and schedule appointments while working remotely as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Manage referrals into and out of the clinic, including prior authorizations and medical records
• Efficiently call patients to schedule appointments and verify insurance and demographic information
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff, adapting to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment

Required qualifications

• Associate degree in health services administration or related field, or 5 years of healthcare experience in lieu of a degree
• At least three years of experience in a related field with advancing responsibilities
• Knowledge of automated information systems, such as Cerner and Microsoft products, is preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products is highly preferred
• MUST reside in Michigan to be considered for the position
