Job Summary
To support financial decision-making in a healthcare environment, the full-time Michigan Licensed Reimbursement Accountant will manage third-party cost reports, analyze financial data, and assist with audits while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Completes accurate and compliant third-party cost reports and analyzes financial data for reimbursement accuracy
- Verifies rate calculations and final settlements from third-party payers and governmental agencies
- Assists in preparing special reimbursement analyses and provides support during audits
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, with CPA preferred
- Master's Degree in Business Administration is a plus
- Two to four years of experience in finance, preferably in healthcare
- Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations affecting healthcare providers
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis methods in healthcare settings
